ABOUT THE ARTIST

I have always been passionate about creating and working with my hands. This obsession with making, led me away from an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, to study abroad for a year in Oxford England, and Florence Italy, where a passion for jewelry was reignited. Back in Canada, I landed at the Ontario College of Art. A strong work ethic and buzzing ideas fueled my three years at O.C.A. I graduated in 1994 and went on to win an Artist in Residence at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, where I worked and taught for three and half years. Fast forward a couple of years and I found myself in the Northwest Territories. I helped set up and establish a jewelry program for Nunavut Arctic College, in the town of Rae-Edzo, where I taught jewelry and drawing. I have run my own jewelry business for over twenty years. My dedication to quality, paired with a playful sense of everyday luxury, has earned me numerous awards.
